Frequently Asked Questions
We've answered some of the questions we're asked most often about classes, workshops, bookings and The Little Art Shed Studio. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Everything you need to know
We know trying something new can feel a little daunting, so we've answered some of the questions we're asked most often. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just get in touch—I'm always happy to help.
What if I haven't picked up a paintbrush since school?
That's absolutely fine—you certainly won't be the only one! Many people who come through our doors haven't done any art for years, or don't think they're creative at all. My classes are all about enjoying the process, trying something new and having fun. You might just surprise yourself!
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Nope! Everything you need is provided, from paints and brushes to aprons and inspiration. Just wear something you don't mind getting a little messy and come ready to enjoy yourself.
Can I book the studio for a private event or party?
Absolutely! Whether you're celebrating a birthday, planning a family get-together, organising a team event or just fancy doing something a little different with friends, I'd love to help you create a fun and memorable creative experience.
My child (or I!) is neurodivergent. Will we feel comfortable?
Absolutely. Creating a welcoming and inclusive space is really important to me. Everyone is different, and that's something we celebrate. Whether you need a quieter approach, a little extra reassurance or just the freedom to create at your own pace, you'll always be met with kindness and understanding.
What should I wear?
I'd always recommend wearing something comfortable that you don't mind getting a splash of paint on—just in case.
Can I come on my own?
Of course! Lots of people do, especially for adult workshops. Everyone is made to feel welcome, and it's a lovely way to meet like-minded people while enjoying some creative time for yourself.
Is there parking?
Yes! There is parking nearby, and I'll include all the information you need before your session so arriving is nice and straightforward.
Do I need to be 'good' at art?
Definitely not! This is probably the question I'm asked most often.
The Little Art Shed Studio isn't about creating perfect artwork—it's about exploring, learning, relaxing and enjoying the creative process. Whether you're a complete beginner or you've been creating for years, there's a place for you here.
What ages are your classes suitable for?
We offer a range of classes and workshops for different ages, from young children through to adults. Each session is clearly labelled so you can find the right fit, and if you're ever unsure, just get in touch—I'm always happy to help.
A Place to Create, Relax & Belong
Create Without Pressure
Art should be enjoyable, not intimidating. Whether you're 5 or 95, I'll encourage you to have a go, try something new and enjoy the process.
A Chance to Slow Down
For a little while, you can forget about the washing, work, school runs and everything else. Just come along, make something and enjoy being creative.
Celebrations Made Easy
Birthday parties should be fun for everyone. I'll organise the activities, provide the materials and clear everything away afterwards, so you can simply enjoy the day.
Everyone is Welcome
You don't need experience or artistic talent. My sessions are relaxed, friendly and designed so everyone feels comfortable joining in.
Neurodivergent & Anxiety Friendly
A calm, welcoming studio where there's no pressure to be perfect. You're encouraged to work at your own pace and enjoy creating in a supportive environment.
